Creating an online persona…
I’ve been giving some thought about how I want to go in the direction of blogging and all these nifty Web2.0 type services. After reading a good article on Web Worker Daily about “Why You May Need an Online Persona”, I got to thinking. I work in technology, and yet i don’t have really any online presence. So I have decided to make an ongoing effort to create one. A google search on me. reveals nothing (wow is that depressing…). Since I work in technology, I would like to have my online presence be somewhat professional, as well as be a reflection of the charming indiviual that I am. So I have outlined a plan to get started:
- Create a Linkedin Profile and start to build some relationships
- Create an Emurse Profile
- Create a PBWiki about myself
- Register a domain name to tie it all together
- Create a Facebook entry
- Update this blog and tags
So I am going to get started over the next couple of days and will keep doing it as I am able. As I am new to all this any sugestions would be appreciated…
