What’s rocking me this month…

I thought I would share what I’ve been listening to this month for anyone who cares. I always make a attempt to expose myself to new music regularly and hopefully I can share some of the good stuff I’ve found. So here is what I was listening to in March:
Albums
- The Arcade Fire - Neon Bible - Wow. They just keep getting better. IMHO the best Arcade Fire album yet. It is different then Funeral, but I think even stronger. Some of the songs have a definite Bruce Springsteen vibe. Essential tracks : “Black Waves/ Bad Vibrations”, “No Cars Go”
- Artic Monkeys - Whatever People Say That I Am, That’s What I’m Not - This is an older album that I just never got around to . It was really hyped, and I think that turned me off. But it is a really slick album, and definitely is worth a listen. Essential tracks : “From the Ritz to the Rubble”, “Perhaps Vampires is a Bit Strong, But…”
- Tokyo Police Club - A Lesson In Crime[EP] - A really upbeat, weird little album. Handclaps, gang vocals, futuristic lyrics… it all works. Definitely give it a listen. Essential tracks : “Nature of the Experiment”, “Be Good”
- He Is Legend - Suck Out the Poison - Not an album for everyone, but it is the best work they have put out so far (and I loved I Am Hollywood). This album is roaring wall of sound with vocals that go from melodic to a tortured roar in some blistering good non-traditional metal / post-hardcore. Essential tracks : “China White II”, “The Widow of Magnolia”
