Working on a Redesign

February 6th, 2008 Posted in Blogging, Random, Sean Lavelle, Tech, Web

I’ve been working pretty hard on a site redesign over the last couple days. Lord knows I’m no graphic designer. It is just one of the skills I do not posses. Generally my idea of a user interface is something to the effect of:

$ perl proxlog3.pl -h
Search Proxy Log Files
usage: proxlog3.pl [-hAEI] [-f FILE] [-u url]
-h : this (help) message
-A : seach all log file dates
-E : search EMEA proxy logs
-I : search Intranet proxy logs
-D : search DMZ proxy logs
-f file : pull search terms from file
-u url : url or string to search for
If the -A option is not specified, the program searches the most current log
If neither the J or B option is specified, both are searched.

But I’ve given it a shot. It should be better then what is out there now. Still needs a couple more days of work, so in the mean time I’ll be posting some of the old tech articles I’ve written for other blogs I was running. I also plan on doing a Wordpress upgrade and trying out a new photo gallery system.
