Fixing the Fence - Done!

The other day I wrote about how the wind knocked over part of the fence in the yard. Well, The other day I dug out the snapped off beam (and the 2 feet of concrete underneath it).

We then made the trip to Lowe’s for a replacement post, which I painted. It rained the next day, so there was no working, but finally today Jess and I were able to finish up.

I set the post with just some sand and a couple peacies of concrete and some dirt and then hung the panels.

Looks pretty good if I do say so myself.

Wind Damage

Yesterday when I got up to go to work I found a 15 foot section of the privacy fence around the back yard had fallen down.  Apparently there had been some major wind.  I had slept right through it.  Looks like this is going to be a mutiday job as I need to replace the main post that holds the 2 panels up and the old post had snapped off right at ground level.  So I guess I get to dig that out first.  Fun.
